I got my bike today and it's beautiful!  The color of my bike is EXACTLY the same as our car.

I'm having to guess a  bit at speed, as it reads in Kilometers  (with a tiny inside ring reading mph). And the seat is not what I expected. The photos all showed a tan seat, so I ordered a tan jacket. The dealer and I were both surprised to see that the bike has a  brown seat. Odd for a red bike. Odd for ANY bike. Black would have made more sense. Oh well - They are ordering me a tan seat so it will look as expected eventually. And when my butt's on the seat I don't see it!

I got the bike with 2 miles on it. I rode it home 24 miles. Ben and I rode into the hills tonight and I am now at 61 miles. I LOVE this bike. I feel so relaxed on it. Its perfect for me. And finally I feel happy to ride fast! Once I get 100 miles on my tires, I'm trying it on the freeway!

It's also WONDERFUL that Ben and I both have new bikes from same dealer. Both our bikes have approx 60 miles on them. We will be taking them in together for service. The dealer and all the folks working at this shop are wonderful. Aprilia for the win!

hmmmm... we are in the midst of that. Ben made a video of his new bike and put it on youtube. We cleaned the car. We made yummy drinks with ice, limeade and RUM. mmm I am still feeling it. We are cooking brats and made a batch of gazpacho. Dinner was yummy. We played with sparklers - more later once it's dark. Home....

My "baby" the 125 red vino was loaded into a van and driven off to live in Monterey. :::waves:::
Whee... $4600 toward by NEW baby! I made the call for Ben's bike as he was just to anxious too leave the bike at the dealer any longer. That's when Greg told me they knew where my BIKE was. OMG. It is at an Aprilia storage facility. They are going there on their day off (4th of JULY) to pick up my bike! I had to ask the pressing question that's been plaguing me. "Is the seat cream color or black?" The one I saw online was cream and I fell in love with it. I did not want black, but I would have taken it.  He said, " it's CREAM!" Happy dance!  So we went down and got HIS new bike and paid for mine. I go in on SATURDAY and get my new sweet ride!

I've been looking at new helmets (and jackets) and am shifting toward the scorpion dahila products.
UPDATE: Jacket did not fit me. :-(  I am bit too "full" through the chest for their top size. I did find a wonderful tan jacket in my size so I ordered it! I DID get the dahlia helmet with the flowers!

Ben and I watched ZOMBIE STRIPPERS last night! OMG this flick is AWESOME! Unlike typical zombies, these strippers become SUPER STRIPPERS who can talk and reason. Its a fun, campy horror film with some gorgeous women.

I rode up through the peninsula to SF this morning to deliver the Silver Vino to it's new owner, Ting. She and her husband live just a block or so from the train station. It was SO MUCH FUN riding to SF. I don't know why I had not done that before!

Ting and her husband are very happy to now have some city transportation! Horray all around!

The silver one sold to a wonderful couple who live in SF near the ball park. I am RIDING this up to them probably tomorrow and taking the train back. I have WANTED to ride a scooter to SF for YEARS and never got to. Now I do!
The red one (my baby, my 50th birthday present from Ben) is going to another wonderful couple in the Monterey area. Amazingly BOTH bikes sold within a day of listing them on Craigs list and I got my asking prices for both. I am thrilled because now I am where I needed to be to buy my new bike this week.

UPDATE: Ben has had a lot of emails about his bike, but no one has made the trip to look at it. The interest shows me it will sell - just might need to adjust the price a bit. TO HELP: I just relisted his bike with my own take on the copy. Lets see if I get more email hits than him!
